The Choirs of Calvary Church

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

- Psalm 95

The Calvary Choirs are open to people of all ages and levels of experience with tuneful voices who can make the time commitment to participate. You need not be a Calvary member or even an Episcopalian to join. All are welcome.

Come give it a try. Enjoy great music and fellowship.

The Parish Choir

Rehearses Thursdays from 7-9 p.m., September - May

Sings at the 10:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist on Sunday mornings

Participates in monthly and seasonal evening services

The Parish Choir exists to glorify God through the liturgy. In sung hymns, psalms, anthems, prayers, and responses, the ministry of the choir brings musical life to the church service that cannot be expressed by words alone. The choir is a place for friendship and fun, and a place where people of all ages come to grow and learn. The choir family is a supportive, intergenerational group made up of people with diverse talents and backgrounds, coming together for the common purpose that what we can accomplish as a group is far greater than what any of us can do alone. Membership in the Parish Choir requires dedicated weekly attendance throughout the program year.

The Festival Choir

Rehearses Thursdays, 7-8 p.m. seasonally as announced.

Sings for special services and holidays throughout the year.

The Festival Choir is a great entry into Calvary's music ministry. Designed for singers with a love for sacred music but not quite enough time to make a weekly commitment, singing in the Festival Choir only requires a set number of rehearsals before a singular project or service. Calvary's annual Festival of Lessons and Carols is a village tradition and a great opportunity to make music and sing favorite Christmas carols with this large ensemble.
